You can take your Poxet 60mg 1-2 hours before sexual activity. Once taken you should not take it within 24 hours and no alcohol should be taken.
The side effects include difficulty sleeping, increased blood pressure, tremor, headache, drowsiness, gastrointestinal upset and dizziness.
Poxet 60mg should not be used if you:
have a history of orthostatic hypotension without consultaion with your doctor,
have heart failure,
have depression, bipolar disorder, unstable epilepsy or schizophrenia,
have severe liver or kidney disease,
have a bleeding disorder,
are taking any monoamine oxidase inhibitor medications.
Drugs that cause a serious reaction with Poxet 60mg : calcium channel blockers like diltiazem for hypertension, SSRI antidepressants like paroxetine or citalopram, monoamine oxidase inhibitors for depression, the analgesic tramadol, HIV treatments like ritonavir and atazanavir, thioridazine for schizophrenia, SNRI antidepressants like venlafaxine, lithium for mood disorders, NSAIDs like aspirin or ibuprofen St. John´s Wort, antibiotics like erythromycin, the anticoagulant warfarin increases risk of bleeding, thioridazine for schizophrenia, migraine medicines like sumatriptan, antifungals like ketoconazole.
